I live in Edinburgh with my partner, where I work as a senior software engineer for NHS Scotland.

projects

I’ve been prototyping a little music-driven incremental game in PICO-8. Time will tell if I can polish it up enough for release, but it’s a nice excuse to meet up with other indie/hobbyist game devs.

I’m reworking my personal website to have some Content and make space for me to try my hand at writing and publishing things. For almost a decade now my site’s main draw has been the same (delightful) placeholder gif, but all good things must come to an end.

I’m also trying to finish Drawing on the Left Side of the Brain, one of the only drawing books that’s really clicked with how I think about things. Drawing a million spheres never really did it for me.

Watching: Nothing much! Although I’ve got half a dozen cinema tickets to use up before August.
Reading: Release It!; The Essence of Software; Mileships
Listening to: A ton of Metric (never really got into Formentera at the time but it’s hooked me now). Coming out of an extended Los Campesinos phase.
